SYDNEY LANGUAGE SOLUTIONS is a registered provider of the CREATIVE KIDS PROGRAM. When enrolling into Cantonese for Senior Kids course at Sydney Language Solutions, you can redeem your $50 CREATIVE KIDS VOUCHER .
What’s special about Cantonese for Senior Kids?
- SLS offers a 8-week/10-week Cantonese for Senior Kids – BEGINNER 1 for children who wish to learn basic conversational Cantonese in a fun, friendly and interactive environment.
- Cantonese for Senior Kids could be delivered online or Face to Face
- Face to Face class is available at our convenient Sydney CBD location during after school hours from or on Saturday.
- Online class for those who live far away from Sydney CBD but wish to study online Cantonese for Kids, available from 4:30 pm – 5:45 pm or Sunday mornings 10:00 am – 11:15 am.
- All language courses come with free training materials

Who should take Cantonese for Senior Kids course?
- Children from 10 – 14 years old who have no existing (or very little) knowledge of Cantonese, who wants to begin a course of study and to know simple words and phrases to start communicating with a Cantonese parent/relative/speaker.
- Children from second generation family or children who can listen to Cantonese basically and wants to study speaking and writing
If your kids are from 4.5 -9 years old, they could join our Cantonese for Junior Kids here.
If your kids are over 14 years old, they could join this Cantonese for Senior Kids or our Cantonese Beginner 1 for Adults.
What’s the difference between Cantonese for Senior and Junior Kids?
Cantonese for Junior Kids will be more ACTIVITY-BASED class in which kids study Cantonese through cue cards, songs, drawings, games and other activities activities with the teachers. Besides activities, Cantonese for Senior Kids lessons will help build Cantonese reading, writing, speaking and listening skills.
- Build vocabulary, pronunciation and common sentence structure
- Children start to have conversational skills and listening comprehension
- Read and Write simple Cantonese characters and sentences

Do we accept Creative Kids Voucher?

- When enrolling into Language for Kids course at Sydney Language Solutions, you can redeem your $50 CREATIVE KIDS VOUCHER when you enrol on our program.
- Enrolling 2 weeks before starting day to receive 10% off, so you only need to pay $297 if enrolling at least 2 weeks before the course starts. So if you use Creative Kids Voucher $50 and pay 2 weeks in advance, you only need to pay $247 for the whole term!
How To Get The Free $50 Creative Kids Voucher?
- Visit service.nsw.gov.au/campaign/creative-kids.
- Create or login to your MyServiceNSW Account.
- Complete a Creative Kids application through your MyServiceNSW Account. You will receive a voucher with a unique ID number for each child you register (available to download, print and email).
- Redeem your voucher with a unique ID number on SLS ONLINE ENROLMENT FORM by using coupon code ‘CKID’ at checkout. The $50 will automatically be deducted from the total fee and you only need to pay the remaining by eway, EFTPOS or Paypal online.
- It is compulsory that you must add your voucher details and your child date of birth into your enrolment form. Without these details, we have to reject your enrolment.
Please Note:
- When enrolling, the Creative Kids Voucher will be redeemed immediately by Sydney Language Solutions and will be non-refundable and non-transferable.
- Please always register with both the parents’ name, contact details and the children’s name.
- The enrolment fee must be paid at least one week in advance of the course commencement date.
- All classes need a minimum of 5 students to go ahead.
- If the course does not have enough 5 students, it will be cancelled and you will be informed via SMS or email 4 working days before the starting date. Alternatively, upon having your approval, we may re-schedule the course 2 weeks later to get more enrolments or we will offer the course for less students with 25% less hours than 15 hours.
Flashcard Cantonese for Kids
Your kids can self-study Cantonese at home via our system for just $20. We offer 5 sets of vocabulary (numbers, family, animal, color and vehicle) with a worksheet and activity book for your kids to practice at home.
How kids should study this course?
- Video: Study new vocabulary through 5 videos, which last around 1 minute 40 seconds. Each video contains 10 new words on that topic. Kids should repeat the teacher’s pronunciation of the new words.
- Fun fact: Kids can understand Chinese culture and people’s life through short fun facts under each video set.
- Practice time: Kids practice writing new words through our workbook. This workbook includes a worksheet and word-picture-matching activity.
- Answer key to practice activity can be found at the end of the course.

Frequently Asked Questions:
What age are the children?
- The children will be from 5 to 12. However, as their levels in the language class would be all beginner, the classes will be split according to level. If more than 6 students enrol, we will do our best to divide the students into 2 classes: one for junior children from 5-8 and one for older children from 9-12.
Do you offer make up class?
- We do not offer any make-up class if you are absent, but our teachers will review last week’s content. If you attend class and are absent for more than 50% of the course, we can allow your child to join the next available course but we cannot issue a refund once the course is confirmed.
Can I join the course late?
- Your child can still join the course up until Week 4 and just pay for the remaining weeks of the term. However, we require your child have at least a 45 -minute session with a private tutor [at an extra cost] before they join the course.
Can I use Creative Kid Voucher?
- Yes, you can redeem your Creative Kids voucher with us. When enrolling on our website, please enter your Creative Kid Voucher ID number in the comment section. Use Code CKIDS to reduce the fee by $100.
Do I have any discount for siblings / friends / cousins to study together?
- If your child studies with a sibling/ friend/ cousin, each of them will receive 5% discount on top of 10% EARLY BIRD Discount.
When can I receive EARLY BIRD DISCOUNT?
- If you enrol 2 weeks before the course starts, you will receive an EARLY BIRD discount of 10% off.
What is the difference between the class during school terms and the class during school holiday?
- During school term, the class will be on one fixed day a week, either every Saturday afternoons from 1:00 pm-2 2:15 pm or on a weekday afternoon from 4:30 pm – 5:45 pm, classes will run for 10 weeks.
- During School Holiday, the class will be held for 4 days each week, from Monday to Thursday between 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm. You can choose to study for only 1 week or for both of the school holidays.
What should I bring?
- We offer a FREE water bottle on the first day of the course. You should fill it in with boiled water so they can bring it along to class. They should also bring a pencil case.
What will they learn?
- Our teachers will engage them in many play-based activities, singing, story-telling, flashcards, and even videos to help them practise the target language to build confidence.
