Salam Beydoun, or Sam for short, well educated and well travelled, holds two university degrees, one in Advertising and Marketing Communications, and one in Hotel Management.

Sam had worked in Lebanon, and in the Arab Gulf states in marketing and management, as well as an interpreter. Sam has also studied translation and interpreting short courses, he has been working as an interpreter in the Arabic community in Australia for over 7 years now, he is keen on teaching his naitive Arabic language to all who are looking to widen their horizons. Nelson is a native Cantonese speaker. Nelson graduated from the University of Technology, Sydney with a Bachelor of Teaching in Secondary Education. He also holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Sydney. Additionally, he obtained a Cambridge CELTA and a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. These qualifications allow him to teach in local high schools, colleges and vocational education and training settings. Nelson is currently studying Chinese, Japanese and Language Teaching Methods at the postgraduate level.
Experience:
Nelson has been in the Education sector for more than 5 years. He has taught English to international students in Australia. In addition to Social Science related subjects, Nelson has taught Beginners Chinese to local students and Chinese Language to Australian-born Chinese at the NSW high school level. Stephanie holds a Masters degree in Strategic Communication from the University of Antwerp (Belgium). Earlier this year she completed a PR internship with a Sydney based company and is currently working as a marketing assistant with Quest Events Australia.
Experience:
Stephanie is a native speaker of Dutch. Stephanie has years of experience in teaching Dutch to English speaker from different background. Having had studied several languages herself ( English, Spanish, French, German), Stephanie has a good understanding of the challenges involved in learning foreign languages. Adriana is originally from Romania. She been passionate about learning and teaching languages since childhood. Vincent Lee is a highly experienced Mandarin Chinese tutor and a NAATI certified veteran translator between English and Chinese, has a history of professional practice for over 15 years. Takayuki Shimomura

TAKAYUKI SHIMOMURA has finished his Master of Education (2002) at Hyogo University of Teachers Education, Bachelor of Science in Law (1994) at Aichi University and is currently a PhD candidate at University of Sydney. He has worked as Japanese Language Assistant for Tweed River High School and Griffith University from 2001-2002. He also worked as translator and editor for Hyogo Global Education Project (to better understanding of the United States among Japanese pre-college teachers) funded by the US- Japan Foundation from 2002-2006.
He was also a government and university Research Project Assistant at Hyogo University of Teachers Education Takayuki. Since 1994, he also has extensive experience teaching Social Studies, Japanese History, World History, Geography, Politics and Economics, Japanese and Computer at Toba Senior High School (Public School of Mie Prefecture Japan).
Toshiko Jackson
Qualifications:
M.A. in Asian Studies that includes Advanced Studies for teaching Japanese as a Foreign Language, Graduate Diploma in Applied Linguistics, Graduate Diploma in Japanese Applied Linguistics, Diploma in Education and BA in Arts. (All postgraduate degrees are from Monash University.) She has a publication in “Australia Language Matters”, ANU, on teaching methods in Japanese. Her M.A. thesis (32,000 words) was on Japanese corporate management and its car manufacturers’ overseas activities. It earned H.D. at Monash University.
Work Experience:
Toshiko Jackson has been teaching Japanese language and culture in Australia for 26 years. She has taught in schools, coaching colleges, TAFEs, universities and corporate courses in Sydney and Melbourne in part time, full time and casual roles. Also, Toshiko has taught all Stages of HSC, Business Japanese for 4 Japanese multi-nationals’ training courses, the University of Sydney and RMIT. She taught for the Japanese Proficiency Tests, Levels 1 to 4. Ashley Jang

Ashley has completed her Master of Education (TESOL) with Merit degree at the University of Sydney. Her MEd dissertation was on “An examination of Korean migrants’ English article use and learning difficulty in Australia” which is the study focuses on the aspects of article usage that Korean ESL learners find difficult/easy to use and learn. It also investigated the Korean learners’ perception of difficulties in English articles as well. Her mixed method research has successfully suggested valuable methodological and pedagogical implications in second language teaching. Prior to moving to Australia, she worked as a tutor and an educational content developer at Hankook University of Foreign Studies (Oedae Language Centre) and YBM Education Korea. Moreover, she has worked as an associate instructor in business English and an educational consultant in Seoul for several years. In addition, she will soon be completing another graduate teaching degree at University of New South Wales specialising in Chinese language and ESL teaching.

Anne Ma has had five-year working experience with Würth, which is a German multi-national trading group that has more than 380 subsidiaries all over the world with annual sales turnover of 80 billion Euros. She worked there as a category manager, in charge of purchasing, SAP training to product management team and also PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) product know-how training to sales managers within the group. Thanks to her work, Anne travelled around, both in Asian region and Europe; therefore she gained rich experience of cooperating with people from various cultural backgrounds. As a registered chiropractor who built and ran his own practice, I have several years of formal hands-on business and clinical experience in musculoskeletal rehabilitation within a multidisciplinary framework. As such, I am adept in patient management, perusing and applying the research and drafting medicolegal paperwork such as medical reports, referral letters, sick-leave certificates and the like.
