Mayssoun Loutfy

Mayssoun holds a Bachelor Degree in Law from Alexandria University.

Mayssoun has worked in different educational institutions such as SEMAS-Mental Arithmetic System Education and AMIDEAST in Egypt, Cardiff Metropolitan University in UK before teaching in Sydney Language Solutions.

She has more than 6 years experience of teaching students from different age group and level in Arabic .

She is a passionate teacher who is sensitive to students’ unique needs and often offers positive encouragement and reinforcement to keep students focused and motivated.

Salam Beydoun

Qualifications: 

Salam Beydoun, or Sam for short, well educated and well travelled, holds two university degrees, one in Advertising and Marketing Communications, and one in Hotel Management.

Experience:

Sam had worked in  Lebanon, and in the Arab Gulf states in  marketing and management, as well as an interpreter. Sam has also studied translation and interpreting  short courses, he has been working as an interpreter in the Arabic community in Australia for over 7  years now, he is keen on teaching his naitive Arabic language to all who are looking to widen their horizons. He is well aware of the Arabic culture, its history and language. Sam is very keen on teaching Arabic in a fun and beneficial way.

Nang Marnilar

Qualifications: 

Marnilar is a native speaker of Burmese (Myanmar). Now, she is studying her last semester of Bachelor of Medical Science in University of Western Sydney.

Experience:

Marnilar has been tutoring Burmese since the past few years and can help people of any level from young kids to adults who want to improve their Burmese language.

Annie Zhang

Annie Zhang is a native speaker of Mandarin and Cantonese. She can teach Mandarin and Cantonese of all levels. She is capable to read and write both simplified and traditional Chinese.

Annie Zhang has been teaching Cantonese from beginners to advanced level in Sydney approximately 2 years.

She also has more than 4 years experience of tutoring high school students, junior high school students and elementary school students in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.

Carol Tam

Qualifications:

Carol graduated from the University of Hong Kong, a tertiary institution with profound history and reputation, with a bachelor degree in Translation and a master degree in English Studies. She has attained the Statement of Proficiency in Putonghua there and completed the training on Business Putonghua at the Beijing Language and Culture University.

Experience:

Carol Tam is a native from Hong Kong, a place where east meets west. Learning two languages since her tender age, Carol is capable of reading and writing English and Chinese, as well as speaking English, Cantonese and Mandarin.

Carol has been a teacher in Hong Kong for seven years. She has more than 10 years of experience giving private tuition for school children. She is friendly and loves to share.

Lucy Luo

Qualifications:

Lucy has completed her Bachelor of Interpreting and Translation at the University of Western Sydney and is now an accredited NAATI translator. She has also studied Japanese Beginners and Chinese background speakers Course in High School and achieved great results in the HSC exam.

Experience:

Lucy has more than 3 years teaching experience in working as a private tutor for children and adults from different cultural backgrounds. She had experience tutoring Cantonese and Mandarin to people from beginners to advanced level. She has a good understanding of the culture of the Cantonese and Mandarin speaking regions and gives Chinese learning lessons in a way that makes the learning process interesting.

Paul Lee

Qualifications:

Paul has a MBA degree from the University of Adelaide and a Bachelor’s Degree of Education from China. He is a NAATI accredited translator between English and Chinese. Apart from Chinese mandarin, he also speaks Cantonese and Southwestern dialects fluently (virtually he can communicate with the majority of Chinese in their first languages). He is also passionate about history, culture and arts.

Experience:

Paul runs a business consulting service in Sydney to facilitate trading and cultural exchange between Australia and China. He has over 15 years work experience in Australia and China in the fields of sales, marketing, business development, translation service and business consultation. Overall he’s worked with State-owned, foreign-owned enterprises, smaller private companies, Not-For-Profit Organizations (NGO) and government agencies in both countries. His extensive business travels covered cities and country towns throughout China, including HK and Taiwan as well as NSW, SA, Vic and WA in Australia. His linguistic skills and business acumen helped him develop a profound understanding of cultures, personalities and business practices in these two massive and diversified countries.

Nelson Lo

Qualifications:

Nelson is a native Cantonese speaker. Nelson graduated from the University of Technology, Sydney with a Bachelor of Teaching in Secondary Education. He also holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Sydney. Additionally, he obtained a Cambridge CELTA and a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. These qualifications allow him to teach in local high schools, colleges and vocational education and training settings. Nelson is currently studying Chinese, Japanese and Language Teaching Methods at the postgraduate level.
 
Experience:

Nelson has been in the Education sector for more than 5 years. He has taught English to international students in Australia. In addition to Social Science related subjects, Nelson has taught Beginners Chinese to local students and Chinese Language to Australian-born Chinese at the NSW high school level. Currently, he is working as a freelance interpreter, servicing local Asian-Australian communities in New South Wales.

Laura Peels

Qualifications:

Laura is currently studying Human Rights (Master) at the University of Sydney and she holds a Bachelor in (television) Journalism. She speaks Dutch (mother tongue), English, French, German and a little Spanish.

Experience:

Laura has been tutoring immigrants who were coming to the Netherlands for almost two years. She assisted people in finding a suitable Dutch language course and helped keeping them on track with their learning process. She has been an editor in chief for a television channel ran by young people, translated travel brochures from Dutch to English, did freelance work for Dutch newspapers and magazines and interned for the Kids News Network in Suriname. In the human rights area, she is particularly interested in linguistics, press freedom, communication& development .

Stéphanie Verlinden

Qualifications:

Stephanie holds a Masters degree in Strategic Communication from the University of Antwerp (Belgium). Earlier this year she completed a PR internship with a Sydney based company and is currently working as a marketing assistant with Quest Events Australia.

Experience:

Stephanie is a native speaker of Dutch. Stephanie has years of experience in teaching Dutch to English speaker from different background. Having had studied several languages herself ( English, Spanish, French, German), Stephanie has a good understanding of the challenges involved in learning foreign languages. She can draw on my personal experiences to help students develop their language skills.

She is an enthusiastic and dedicated person with a strong passion to help. Her exceptional interpersonal and communication skills have helped her to foster her students’ learning in Dutch.

Adriana Mucea

Qualifications: 

Adriana has a Bachelor degree in Arts in Romanian and English Language and Literature from Transilvania University, Brasov, Romania. She also hold a Certificate IV in TESOL, CELTA Qualification as well as Certificate for Training and Assessment.

Teaching Experience: 

Adriana is originally from Romania. She been passionate about learning and teaching languages since childhood. Over the past ten years she has been working as a teacher and translator of medical English. She worked in public schools in Romania teaching general English and in vocational schools teaching English for the tourism and hospitality industry. While in the Czech Republic she also taught exam English. In Australia she has been teaching general English and also IELTS.

Carlos Raso

Qualifications: 

Carlos has a Master of Arts [TESOL] @ University of Western Sydney, a Bachelor of Arts [Languages] – Majoring in Linguistics & Spanish @ University of Western Sydney. He also has Certificate IV in Workplace Assessment and Training @ Jobs Australia

Teaching Experience: 

During my teaching career I have worked at some of Sydney’s most distinguished institutions of education. I have taught the AMEP at the University of New South Wales – Global Institute of Languages. I have also worked in the Employment Preparation Section of TAFE, as the LLNP Coordinator. While at TAFE I taught the LLNP and ESOL. Prior to this I was employed as Head Trainer at MTC Training Solutions, where my position involved managing 5 trainers and 200 students. Danny Ao

Qualifications: 

Danny holds a Master Degree in translation from the University of New South Wales and a Bachelor Degree in Commerce from the University of Sydney.

Teaching Experience: 

Danny has worked as an IELTS teacher for many years. She has a lot of experience in teaching IELTS and many students achieved 7 and 8 in IELTS test after attending Danny’s class. She’s passionate about learning and teaching languages and IELTS. She taught English in both Australia and China including New Oriental Beijing, Cambridge Education Center, Tsinghua University etc. Also Danny worked as a professional translator and interpreter at the University of Sydney (Sydney World Program).

Danny Ruch

Qualifications: 

Danny is originally from Switzerland and moved to Australia in 2006. He completed the First Certificate in English (FCE) in 2003, followed by the IELTS in 2009 with an overall band score of 8.5. Furthermore, Danny graduated from AMP College of Business and Communication with an Advanced Diploma of Marketing as well as a Diploma in Business Management.

Teaching Experience: 

Having been working in a Marketing position for the worldwide market leader in construction materials Danny also teaches IELTS Preparation Course in Sydney Language Solutions and other colleges. His enthusiasm in helping people preparing for IELTS along with his authentic experience in the IELTS Examination has helped a lot of his students in improving themselves for IELTS.

Gareth Heenan

Qualifications: 

Gareth is from the UK.  Prior to teaching English, he graduated from Bristol Business School as a Bachelor of Arts and went on to work in London’s financial markets.  He holds a certTESOL from Trinity College, London.

Teaching Experience: 

Gareth has taught in the Middle East, the Far East and Europe. His experience covers EAP, IELTS, Business and General English across all levels. Gareth has taught English in both corporate and academic environments. He has worked with British Petroleum and, most recently, with The University of Exeter – which is rated in the top ten of English universities – where he taught in Academic English to MA students.

Grace Rahmat

Qualifications: 

Grace has a Bachelor degree in Business from Victoria University in Melbourne and a Graduate Certificate in TESOL from University of Technology, Sydney.

Teaching Experience: 

Grace has held senior administration positions for the past 8 years and has worked with some of the most distinguished organisations in Australia such as: Macquarie Group, KPMG Australia and Dimension Data. Working in Human Resources has given her understanding and knowledge about Business fundamentals and Recruitment. She is a compassionate teacher  who remains sensitive to students unique needs, employs effective listening, provides individual and whole group support, and offers positive encouragement and reinforcement to keep students focused and motivated. She is a very passionate about Education and helping students to achieve success and specialising in pronunciation, conversation and also in writing resumes and interview techniques.

Liza Joy Cassidy

Qualifications: 

Liza Joy Cassidy has a BA Dip.Ed. Secondary in Drama & Dance from University of Western Sydney, Penrith. She has been involved in many Theatre Productions in Germany, UK & Australia. She also has a Bachelor of Education (Primary) from Australian Catholic University. She has ESL Teacher International Certificate III and is very experienced in teaching Literacy Studies & English to both Primary K-6; Secondary 7-11, Adults-Beginners to Advanced, and IELTS.

Teaching Experience: 

Lisa has taught ESL for over 10 years in a Private Language College in Strathfield, Upsun, Essential Language College, now known as Prime. She also taught ESL at Berala Public School to Refugees and English at James An Coaching Academy. She also taught English in England in 2006 & 2012.

Luis Rodriguez

Qualifications: 

Luis is a diploma in Spanish Instituto de Cervantes C2 Teaching Level in university of Deusto Bilbao, Spain.

Teaching Experience: 

Luis has worked in different schools before teaching in Sydney Language Solutions. He was once English teacher in International Centre, Velvet School, St Georges English Academy, Drogheeda School in Bilbao, Spain. He is experienced in teaching both adults or children and is an expert in his area.

Maria Tsilimos

Qualifications: 

Maria holds a Bachelor of Arts, a Certificate IV in Tesol with Merit, a Certificate in teaching IELTS, and she currently undertakes a Master in TESOL.
Maria is also a qualified teacher of Modern Greek, Ancient Greek, and Latin Language.

Teaching Experience: 

Maria has been offering IELTS, TOEFL, and General English lessons for six years at a private college in her native country, Greece. Regarding her teaching experience in Australia she offered IELTS and General English lessons at the International House and she currently offers General English lessons (Intermediate level) at the Bridge Business college.

Nicholas John Gysi

Qualifications: 

Nic is a Bachelor of Arts from University of Western Sydney majoring in History, Politics and Philosophy. He is a qualified English teacher, holding a Cambridge Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults (CELTA) and also Certificate IV in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL)

Teaching Experience: 

Nic has worked as ESL teacher in Australian Pacific College School of English, being responsible to teach English Grammar, vocabulary, speaking, writing and listening skills to young adult students. He also worked as ESL Teacher in Bridge Business College ELICOS Department and Sydney International English College (S.I.E.C).

Ryan Madden

Qualifications: 

Ryan has a Bachelor of Science Majoring in Games Development, Certificate IV TESOL and TAFE Diploma of Software Development.

Teaching Experience: 

Ryan has 2 years experience in teaching ESL at New Dynamic Institute, Hefei, China, teaching General/Conversational English, Business English, English for Academic Purposes (EAP), IELTS, TOEFL, English for Specific Purposes (ESP). Ryan is very much interested in cooking, traveling, designing computer games, listening to music (from different languages), and motorsports.

Sally Townsend

Qualifications: 

Sally has a Bachelor of Health Science from Sydney University gained in 2008. She has also completed a Diploma in Health Counselling from the University of Sydney. She is currently completing a Master of Teaching (Secondary) at the University of Western Sydney.

Teaching Experience: 

Sally worked as a Health Education Officer for a private Skin Cancer Clinic for three years moving on to Practice Manager for one year after that. After a recent trip to Vietnam, where she was working with children aged from as young as 3 weeks old right through to adults at Dong A and Truc University in Da Nang teaching them basic living skills through to conversational English skills, she decided she was keenly interested in teaching as a career.

Currently, Sally is working in childcare and before and after school care and with Sydney Language Solutions whilst she completes her Masters degree.

Vincent Lee

Qualifications:
Vincent Lee is a highly experienced Mandarin Chinese tutor and a NAATI certified veteran translator between English and Chinese, has a history of professional practice for over 15 years.  Additionally, he’s proficient in English for academic purposes and IELTS writing. He holds a degree of Master by Research from Macquarie Uni in the discipline of Applied Linguistics and a Bachelor’s degree of Beijing Foreign Studies University. His current academic research is cognitive linguistics and historical linguistics.

Work Experience : 
Vincent’s specialized translation areas are medication, Traditional Chinese Medicine, legal documents, world history (especially European, Chinese and Mesopotamian), military, religion, psychology, philosophy, as well as international politics and relations. His students are of diversified cultural and academic backgrounds, including Polish news correspondents, British visiting scholars, Swiss engineers, American and Canadian PhDs specializing in traditional Chinese medicine. He has conducted research in comparative culture as well and therefore more than willing to share with you his understandings and insights in regards to Chinese culture and history.

Vladislav Kibardin

Qualifications: 

Vladislav completed his first degree in English at Udmurt State University in Russia where he studied at the Faculty of Foreign Languages and earned a Bachelor in Linguistics, Interpreting and Intercultural Communication. He also graduated from Charles Sturt University, Australia and holds a Bachelor degree in Secondary Teaching in LOTE (Languages Other than English – German). Besides, Vlad is qualified as a 4 Year Trained Teacher and eligible to teach with Catholic Education Office of Sydney. He is currently doing Master of TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) at the University of Western Sydney.

Teaching Experience: 

Having taught a wide range of courses in various establishments Vladislav has gained extensive experience at different levels.  He taught English as a Second Language, Russian as a Foreign Language and German at a British Language School in Moscow for five years. Also, Vladislav has experience of in-company teaching and at both secondary and tertiary levels. In Russia he successfully taught a wide range of language courses at Moscow Aviation University e.g. IELTS, Business and General English/German. Moreover, as an in-company teacher he has worked for such international companies as: City Bank, Price Waterhouse Coopers, British Petroleum, Maerskline, KPMG, British American Tobacco, Unicredit Bank, Deutsche Bank and many others.

During his study in Australia at Charles Sturt University he has successfully taught as part of his Professional Practicum at different schools such as Albury High School and Carlingford High School in Sydney where he taught German and had an opportunity to prepare Year 12 students for the HSC exam. Dr. Madhvi Mohindra

Madhvi has a Bachelor Degree in Indian Classical Music & Dance, Masters Degree in Hindi Literature and Music and PhD in Music from Maharishi Dayanand University Rohtak India.

Teaching Experience:

Dr. Mohindra has Over 20 Years Experience in Creative Arts, Teaching, Training, Marketing, Sales, Events Management and Customer Care in India, Fiji and Australia. She started her Career as a University lecturer in India. She was Hindi Radio announcer, compeer & Drama Artist on All India Radio. She was Radio presenter in Hindi in Fiji and now she is contributing on many Radio stations here in Australia. Dr. Mohindra started writing poems, short stories and articles from the age of six.  Currently she is a consultant with a pay TV Company and running her own academy of Performing Arts.

Sapna Kalra

Qualifications:
Sapna is a Master of Arts in English in India, she also has a Bachelor of Education and  Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in English. She participated in the International Teacher Refresher Program, DEECD & Holmesglen, Vic, Australia.

Dewishinta

Qualification:

Dewishinta is a native Indonesian language speaker; she was born and raised in Indonesia.

She has completed a Bachelor Degree in Economic and a Masters Degree in Management Marketing at the University of Atma Jaya, Indonesia.

Teaching Experience:

Dewishinta has a strong passion in languages and in teaching. Dewishinta has been teaching language for more than 20 years. She is proud to be able to help Indonesian students in improving their pronunciation and their knowledge in the Indonesian culture. She was a Language Lecturer in the Department of Cultural Science Faculty, Gadjah Mada University – Yogyakarta Indonesia.

Apart from teaching, Dewishinta was also a Marketing Event Manager for 4 years in one of the big exhibition company in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Diana Rose

Qualifications:

Dian Rose has her Bachelor of Psychology from the Tarumanagara University, Indonesia.

Teaching Experience:

She has extensive experiences in teaching Indonesian for more than 5 years. She has also worked as an assistant lecturer during her studies. In addition to that, she also spent some time working as a radio broadcaster and scriptwriter at three different radio stations in Jakarta. Dian speaks four different languages, which are Indonesian, English, Mandarin, and also Hokkienese.

Stephanie Kristian

Stephanie Kristian is native speaker of Indonesian. She completed her degree in Bachelor of Arts (Linguistics) in the University of Western Sydney and is currently completing her Master of Teaching (Primary) course.

Valentina Zucchetti

Qualification:

Valentina holds a Bachelor Degree in “Linguistic Mediation” (English and Spanish) ITALY. She also holds an Honour Bachelor Degree in “Literary and Essays Translation” (English and Spanish) ITALY and Master Degree “Didactics of Italian Language for Foreigners” ITALY.

Teaching Experience:

Valentina has a strong passion for languages and for teaching. Teaching her own language is not only a way to feel close to her country but also a way for her to spread her language and culture. She is very motivated, smiling and like interactive lessons. She believes that having fun is foundamental while learning a language! Valentina has taught English in Primary School ITALY, tutoring young students and adults (Italian, English, Spanish and French. She also taught Italian at the Perugia University for Foreigners.

Chie Shattel

Qualifications:

Gaining my BAs in Business English & Teaching English as a 2 nd Language in Japan, I was able to enjoy my start in teaching prior to graduation & continued for 3 years. I am also a qualified teacher in calligraphy, tea ceremony, ikebana, kimono dressing & traditional Japanese music (Kouta).

Work Experience:

Locally, I’ve been teaching Japanese for 15 years, from year 2 to professionals needing business & travel specific language, including airline staff.

Internationally, I’d gained my Certificate as a Local & International Tour Guide & had worked for 15 years prior to that. I have coordinated placement of Japanese language teachers into Australian schools for 4 years.

I teach in Japanese schools, Community Colleges & TAFE. Returning to Japan twice yearly, I keep up to date socially, culturally & with my language.   

Takayuki Shimomura

Qualifications: 

TAKAYUKI SHIMOMURA has finished his Master of Education (2002) at Hyogo University of Teachers Education, Bachelor of Science in Law (1994) at Aichi University and is currently a PhD candidate at University of Sydney. He has published 7 refereed and 4 non-refereed articles and has presented in many international conferences. He is currently working as Japanese Language Coordinator and Teacher for Sydney Language Solutions.

Work Experience:

He has worked as Japanese Language Assistant for Tweed River High School and Griffith University from 2001-2002. He also worked as translator and editor for Hyogo Global Education Project (to better understanding of the United States among Japanese pre-college teachers) funded by the US- Japan Foundation from 2002-2006.

 He was also a government and university Research Project Assistant at Hyogo University of Teachers Education Takayuki. Since 1994, he also has extensive experience teaching Social Studies, Japanese History, World History, Geography, Politics and Economics, Japanese and Computer at Toba Senior High School (Public School of Mie Prefecture Japan).

Toshiko Jackson

Qualifications:

M.A. in Asian Studies that includes Advanced Studies for teaching Japanese as a Foreign Language, Graduate Diploma in Applied Linguistics, Graduate Diploma in Japanese Applied Linguistics, Diploma in Education and BA in Arts. (All postgraduate degrees are from Monash University.) She has a publication in “Australia Language Matters”, ANU, on teaching methods in Japanese. Her M.A. thesis (32,000 words) was on Japanese corporate management and its car manufacturers’ overseas activities. It earned H.D. at Monash University.

Work Experience:

Toshiko Jackson has been teaching Japanese language and culture in Australia for 26 years. She has taught in schools, coaching colleges, TAFEs, universities and corporate courses in Sydney and Melbourne in part time, full time and casual roles. Also, Toshiko has taught all Stages of HSC, Business Japanese for 4 Japanese multi-nationals’ training courses, the University of Sydney and RMIT. She taught for the Japanese Proficiency Tests, Levels 1 to 4. She was the Depart Coordinator of L.O.T.E. and Japanese Course Coordinator for the Certificate IV at Language Centre, Holmesglen Institute of TAFE, Melbourne for 7 years until the end of 2000. Additionally she was an interpreter and worked for translation in Melbourne for a few years. She migrated from Japan to Australia 31 years ago.

Ashley Jang

Qualifications: 

Ashley has completed her Master of Education (TESOL) with Merit degree at the University of Sydney. Her MEd dissertation was on “An examination of Korean migrants’ English article use and learning difficulty in Australia” which is the study focuses on the aspects of article usage that Korean ESL learners find difficult/easy to use and learn. It also investigated the Korean learners’ perception of difficulties in English articles as well. Her mixed method research has successfully suggested valuable methodological and pedagogical implications in second language teaching.  She also has Bachelor of Business Administration/ English Education degrees.

Experience:

Ashley is a highly qualified teacher who possesses a secondary teacher (Commerce and English)’s license issued from Department of Education, Korea. Prior to moving to Australia, she worked as a tutor and an educational content developer at Hankook University of Foreign Studies (Oedae Language Centre) and YBM Education Korea. Moreover, she has worked as an associate instructor in business English and an educational consultant in Seoul for several years. She taught language and business studies to employees working in bank, tele-communication companies, accounting firms and stock companies including PwC, POSCO, Hana Bank, Hyundai-Kia motors and SK Tele-communications.

She is continuing her careers in an educational sector in Australia. She worked as a school counsellor/ welfare coordinator at Evolution Hospitality Institute for 2years and she is currently working as a Korean language teacher and a corporate trainer in Sydney.

Ashley facilitates our Korean learners with her enthusiasm, confidence and excellence in teaching which come from her extensive teaching experiences. She adapts various teaching materials which are blended with cultural aspects such as K-pop, K-drama and YouTube. She then combines them with her own teaching skills and materials. Jiyoon Lee

Qualifications: 

Jiyoon has a Master Degree in French Literature and a Certificate in  TESOL.

Experience:

Jiyoon Lee has been teaching Korean Literature to Korean students at Korean Institute, Seoul and teaching French at Sungsim Girl’s High School. She also worked as an editor for Catholic University of South Korea. From 2009, Jiyoon Lee is the corporate trainer of Korean Language for Sydney Language Solutions

Jonathan Park

Qualifications:
Jonathan has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Science at University of Technology, Sydney UTS (1996). He majored TV and print journalism. He holds Level 4 Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults (CELTA) and Certificate 4 in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) at the International House in 2009. His CELTA was issued by Cambridge University in England in 2009. He is a NAATI level 3 accredited Korean and English interpreter since 1994.

Work Experience : 
He lectured Master of Translating and Interpreting at Macquarie university. He taught English language at International House in Sydney. He has worked as an interpreter for Community Relations Commission of NSW government attorney general’s department since 1998. He has interpreted in local, district, supreme courts of NSW, supreme court of Victoria, and supreme court of Western Australia for thousands of court cases.”

Lily Woo

Qualifications:

Lily Woo holds a Bachelor of Public Administration and is about to complete a Master of Commerce from the University of New South Wales. She also holds a Certificate IV in TESOL certification.

Experience:

Lily is a native Korean teacher who has been passionate about teaching, communicating and building strong relationships as well as developing teaching curriculum and activities. She has teaching experiences with students of various levels she has helped develop language abilities by coaching and providing individual assistance. Her teaching style focuses on enjoyable interactive classes that enhance basic and practical Korean conversation and grammar.

Luna Ji

Qualifications:

Luna has completed her Master of Education in TESOL at Sydney University, and holds a TESOL certificate from Georgetown University.  She also has a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, and a State-certificate of English for Intetnational Business.

Experience:

Luna is a native Korean teacher with a deep background in all facets of language teaching, as well as development of teaching materials, activities, and curriculum. She has more than 7-years of teaching experience in both English and Korean, teaching students of different ages, abilities, and cultural backgrounds. Her diverse working experience helps her to relate to students from various backgrounds and successfully match teaching delivery to student needs.

Luna’s facilitation of Korean is practical and moulded around learners in each group. Luna draws on individual strengths within a group to support learners to achieve both personal and corporate excellence. Her teaching style focuses on fun, interactive classes which draw on the varied experiences of each student group. Qualifications:
Sarah Yong finished a Master of Education (TESOL) and Graduate of Certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (FEFL) at the University of Sydney. She completed a bachelor of Home Economics in Korea.

Teaching Experience:
Sarah has two years’ experience as an English teacher in the IELTS School, Korea before she migrated to Australia. She has extensive experience in teaching English (IELTS) for adults and Korean for primary and high school students as a tutor. She has been currently teaching TOPIK (Test of Proficiency in Korean) to Korean migrants high school students. She is always willing to share her teaching experience with her students and combine Korean and Korean culture in the classroom.

Somi Hwang

Qualifications:
Somi Hwang has a Bachelor of Arts in Social Welfare. She is now currently doing her master in education at University of Sydney. Somi also has a TESOL certification from New Zealand Qualification Authority.

Teaching Experience:
Somi has an extensive experience as an English teacher in Sung-Mon Academy in Masan, Korea. She also attended a lot of English courses in different countries, making her familiar to different context of English. As a Korean teacher, Somi is very enthusiastic and patient. Anne Ma

Qualifications:
Anne Ma has Master of Teaching degree from Griffith University, and has accredited teaching registration for teaching mainstream classes in Australian educational system. She also has Bachelor of Art degree in Business English from Fudan University, one the leading universities in mainland China. In addition, she will soon be completing another graduate teaching degree at University of New South Wales specialising in Chinese language and ESL teaching.

Work Experience : 
Anne Ma has had five-year working experience with Würth, which is a German multi-national trading group that has more than 380 subsidiaries all over the world with annual sales turnover of 80 billion Euros. She worked there as a category manager, in charge of purchasing, SAP training to product management team and also PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) product know-how  training to sales managers within the group. Thanks to her work, Anne travelled around, both in Asian region and Europe; therefore she gained rich experience of cooperating with people from various cultural backgrounds. She is specialised in business process and culture in China and the Asia as a whole. Moreover, Anne had teaching experience not only in Australia public school (Labrador State School), private school (The Southport School) and other learning institution (Kumon Study Centre) as well. Being a Persian native speakers, Muhammad is a poet in four languages including Persian, with a profound experience of English Language Teaching for more than twenty years (overseas) as well as volunteering with different Community Organisations in Sydney, rendering my Persian Interpreting services (as  Humanitarian Bilingual Worker) at SSI, Parramatta. Maryam Karimizadeh

Qualification:

Maryam is native speaker of Persian, she got bachelor of Mathematics and Statistics and completed her Masters of Ancient Iranian Cultures and Linguistics in Iran. She was a tour leader in Iran for more than eight years.

Teaching Experience:

Her background is guiding tours, teaching mathematics, statistics and Persian. In her 8 years tour leading she understands cultures, and for that, she is able to communicate effectively and possesses high degree of energy and enthusiasm.

Domenica Goncalves

Qualification:

Domenica holds a Degree in Hospitality Management from Brasil and a Degree in Teaching for Primary and High School from Brasil.

Teaching Experience:

Domenica Goncalves is a native Portuguese speaker from Brazil and has lived in Australia since 2009. Domenica has taught Portuguese for several years before moving to Australia. She is currently working for Hugo Boss as an Assistant Manager.

Luis Rodriguez

Luis is a diploma in Spanish Instituto de Cervantes C2 Teaching Level in university of Deusto Bilbao, Spain.

Teaching Experience: 

Luis has worked in different schools before teaching in Sydney Language Solutions. He was once English teacher in International Centre, Velvet School, St Georges English Academy, Drogheeda School in Bilbao, Spain. He is experienced in teaching both adults or children and is an expert in his area.

Renee Morabito

Qualification:

I have got a degree as a French and Spanish interpreter from University of Interpreters and Translators, Genoa, Italy. I also have DALF Diplomas (professional diploma for French teaching) and DELE Diploma (professional diploma for Spanish teaching) I lived one year in Spain, where I attend a Spanish course at Universidad Pontificia, Salamanca, one of the most popular universities in Spain.

Teaching Experience:

After my graduation, I worked as a finance advisor for Generali Insurance – Acqui Terme in Italy. Then, I worked as interpreter for 3 years as a conference interpreter in social areas for Tourism Office – Genova, Italy. I also got experience as a translator, working as Touristic Prospectus Translator in the Tourist Office, Acqui Terme, Italy from 2000-2003. I worked for as a training officer, in Disneyland, Paris. I working as a French Italian teacher in a adult language school in Sydney. I can speak and teach 4 languages: Italian, French, Spanish and English.

Kung Onvadee

Qualification: 

Kung is from Thailand. She graduated with Bachelor Degree in Humanity majoring in Thai Communication from UTCC (University of Thai Chamber of Commerce). She also completed Certificate IV for Training and Assessment from Sydney.

Teaching Experience:

Kung has a broad understanding in the difference between Australian culture and Thai culture from her nine years of studying abroad. Samantha is a native speaker of Thai. She has a Bachelor Degree in Business Management majoring in Accounting from Naresuan University. 

Teaching Experience:

Samantha has years of experience in teaching Thai to English speakers from different backgrounds. She has a great understanding of the culture of the Thai and gives Thai lessons in a way that makes the learning process interesting.

She is an enthusiastic and dedicated person with a strong passion to help. Her exceptional interpersonal and communication skills have helped her to foster her students’ learning in Thai.

Shaye PM

Qualification:

Shaye is a native speaker, originally from Bangkok – the heart of Thailand. She graduated in Communication Designs in Sydney and currently studying in Master of Creative Enterprise. 

Teaching Experience:

She has done many one-to-one tutor for foreigners to be able to speak a proper Thai, whether it’s casual Thai, Business usage or an Appropriate Thai – in any occasions.

She is capable to teach reading and writing, addition to that, Shaye used to be a Blogger for a famous Thai Blog that talked about how does it feels like to live overseas since High School and was acknowledged by several Thai Agency – both in Thailand and Australia.

Brandon Bang Pham

Qualifications:

Graduated from the University of Queensland and University of Western Sydney, he holds double degrees in Language teaching and Translation. Brandon is a NAATI-accredited professional translator and a member of AUSIT and FIT (International Federation of Translators). As a person dedicated to professional development and business networking, Brandon has always shown clients that he only delivers the best.

Experience:

Brandon is a literacy and numeracy trainer at a Sydney-based training centre, teaching adults from different countries. Clients have found him very enthusiastic, and his classes are generally exciting. With nine years of teaching in the past, Brandon shows that methodology and flexibility are important in assisting learners to gain skills and deal with numerous obstacles in their studies no matter what levels they are at.

Dai Thanh Tran

Qualifications:

Dai has a Master’s Degree of Computer Engineering (2007) from Kyung Hee University, Korea , CCNA Certification from iPMAC Networking Academy, Bachelor Degree in Data Communications and Computer Networks (2005). He is currently a PhD student at University of Technology, Sydney. Dai worked as tutor in the Vietnamese Language at SLS and in charge of editing translation for document about information technology. Dai can speak English, Korean and French

Experience:

Dai has worked intensively as research assistant in two major projects: MIC (2005-2007) and ITRC (2005-2007). He also worked as collaborator for FIS company in 2005 and as a research staff at networking LAB, South Korea. Dai has published 8 articles in international journals and have attended 8 different international and national conferences. Le Quan Ly (Jenny)

Jenny is a Vietnamese native speaker.  She is doing her Bachelor of Science in Medical Science degree at the University of Technology, Sydney. She also speaks Cantonese and Mandarin fluently which allows her to communicate with people from different countries. She is currently working as Vietnamese Teacher for Sydney Language Solutions.

She has a particular interest in communicating with people from different backgrounds and cultures. She has also worked as a Vietnamese – English translator and interpreter. Julie has a great passion in teaching and translating. Tony Vu

Qualifications:

Tony is a Vietnamese native speaker. He was born in Vietnam and did his Bachelor in Vietnam. He also did the Master of Information technology at the University of technology Sydney. He is currently working as a web designer at StyleTread and also a Vietnamese teacher at Sydney Language Solutions.

Experience:

Tony has strong passion and enthusiasm to teach Vietnamese. He has ability to interact with people and implements new teaching methodologies depending on the background of students. He also can deal with students who have problems in spoken Vietnamese with different strategies. Furthermore, he designs balanced, innovative programs that encourage students to make a positive impact on class.

Na Quynh Phu Pham – Director

Qualifications:

Na Pham has a Doctor in Philosophy (Education) at University of Western Sydney, a Master of Arts in TESOL at National University of Singapore and a Bachelor of Arts
at Vietnam National University. She is also a NAATI Accredited Translator and has Certificates in Project Management, Business Communication and Report Writing, ESL Training and Certificate IV in Assessment and Training.

Na has won several prizes and scholarships, including ASEAN Postgraduate Scholarship – National University of Singapore (1999), International Postgraduate Research Scholarship – University of Western Sydney (2001), Summer Research Award – University of Western Sydney in conjunction with Ethnic Communities Councils of NSW (2005) and Travelling Award – University of Western Sydney (2004, 2005)

Work Experience:

Na Pham has a vast experience in five major fields: translation, language teaching, language researching, language consulting, and language teaching material designs.

She has more than 12-year experience languages (both English and Vietnamese) from different ethnic, socio-cultural background and groups of ages. Her experience includes teaching English at Vietnamese National University, National University of Singapore, EF Language Travel, ABC Study Groups, Sydney Community College and MTC Training Solutions. She has been currently working as a lecturer at Australian Campus Network – La Trobe University.

She is a language consultant for many language research projects, which includes MARCS Laboratory – University of Western Sydney (studies on Vietnamese tone and Vietnamese pronunciation), Ethnic Community Councils NSW (studies about language needs of emerging communities in Sydney), Cancer Council NSW (Hepatitis B and liver cancer among Vietnamese communities in Sydney) and School of Nursing and Midwifery ( Gestational Diabetes and Health Education Resources Project ).

Carol Luo

Qualifications:
Carol is currently completing a Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery at UNSW. She has been developing her background in health sciences through her studies and clinical training in a hospital environment.

Teaching Experience:
Carol enjoys the fulfilling experience of teaching, especially to health professional from overseas. She has worked as a tutor for primary and high school students in all areas of mathematics and science, as well as a mentor and student leader. She has had further experience assisting international students with their speaking and writing skills in English.

Eugene Khoo

Qualifications: 

My qualifications include BComm (Majoring in Banking, Finance & Management & Minoring in Economics),  BSc (First Class Honours, Estrogen Withdrawal and Spinal Degeneration), BSc (Chiro), BChiro, Grad Dip Div. With a background in investment banking, I was further inspired to pursue a vocation in healthcare.

Teaching Experience: 

My formal teaching experience includes being a teacher, curriculum writer and principal at Sunday School and being a tutor, laboratory demonstrator, lecturer and clinical skills instructor at university/tertiary level. As a registered chiropractor who built and ran his own practice, I have several years of formal hands-on business and clinical experience in musculoskeletal rehabilitation within a multidisciplinary framework. As such, I am adept in patient management, perusing and applying the research and drafting medicolegal paperwork such as medical reports, referral letters, sick-leave certificates and the like. Because life is all about learning, in the future I want to complete a barista course, attend cooking school, learn new languages and try my hand at ballroom dancing.

Jaime Baquiran

Qualifications:
Jaime is a graduate of the University of Sydney, where he obtained a Bachelor of Medical Science with First Class Honours in physiology. He has worked as a research assistant at the Children’s Hospital at Westmead within the Children’s Cancer Research Unit. Jaime is currently undertaking extra curricular training in teaching principles of nutrition and healthy lifestyle choices to adolescents.

Teaching Experience:
With a background in both laboratory science and his current clinical training at the University of Sydney, Jaime brings to his teaching an integration of learning Australian English with understanding features of the Australian health care system, and it’s cultural approach to clinical care. All of these aspects are vital skills required to perform well in the Occupation English Test (OET).

Kevin Eggen

Qualifications:

Kevin has completed Bachelor of Science; Biology major & Kinesiology minor at UFV in British Columbia.  He is now completing his medical degree (MBBS/MD) in Sydney.

Teaching Experience:

Kevin has helped international students learn and comprehend science-based material, so the OET program fit nicely into his experience. He understands how difficult it is for people to learn English as a second (or even third language) and always try to make the transition of learning english as simple and helpful as possible, and he is also aware of how important the OET is for health professionals looking to work in Australia in the field they love.

Leon Wang

Qualifications:

Leon graduated from the University of British Columbia with a degree in Biopsychology. He has developed a strong background in health sciences through his stints as a research assistant at the UBC Culture and Self Lab as well as the Brain and Mind Research Institute at the University of Sydney, where his work has been published in an international journal.

Teaching Experience: 

Leon spent over four years serving in the Canadian Forces Army Reserves, where, as a medical technician, he gained a wealth of clinical and academic experience. During that time, he gave lectures on a variety of health-related topics such as bioterrorism and faciomaxillary trauma. In addition, he has experience as a language teacher, having tutored students in English, Japanese, and Mandarin.

Megan Lee

Qualifications:
Megan is a Medical Science graduate with Honours in microbiology at Sydney University. She also has TESOL certification from International TEFEL teachers training college. Megan has worked previously teaching ESL English to university students at Chungang University and at major learning insitutes in Korea such as YBM, CDI and SDA. In Sydney she has taught in James An college, SMART college and Samsung corporate training at Sydney Language Solutions.

Teaching Experience:
Megan’s enjoys teaching immensely. With her wide range of teaching experiences as well as medical knowledge, she is able to offer her students sufficient guide through both the language and health-specific aspects of the OET exam.

James Bergfield

Qualifications:

James is a graduate from the University of Sydney, holding a Bachelor of Science (Advanced) with majors in chemistry and biochemistry. He is currently studying a Doctor of Medicine at the University of Sydney.

Teaching Experience:

James has worked as a tutor for high school and university students in most areas of mathematics and science, and has helped write a textbook and teach classes for chemistry in the GAMSAT medical school admission exam. He has spent ample time in the surgical and medical wards at RPA hospital and so has a firm grasp of clinical communication in the Australian healthcare system

Anna Brzeska

Qualifications:

Anna is currently studying a Bachelor of Medical Studies/Doctor of Medicine at UNSW. She previously completed a Bachelor of Health at Macquarie University, which gave her insight into the different approaches to health and the healthcare system in Australia. She has spent 6 years working alongside other healthcare professionals as a medical administrator in a variety of settings, including specialist practice, general practice and hospital-based.

Anna has volunteered with St John Ambulance for 7 years. She is a mentor for new members of her local Division and enjoys training many people from diverse backgrounds in first aid.
