Vietnamese Students

Denise Young

I studied Vietnamese with Na from October 2008 to March 2009. I had made previous attempts to learn the language but I made most progress studying with Miss Na. One reason is that she has a deep knowledge not only of her  native tongue, Vietnamese, but also of English. She also understands modern methods of language teaching. I valued the time I spent in her classes and when I was in  Vietnam I found it made a huge difference in people’s attitudes when I spoke to them in Vietnamese. She also gave me a lot of background information on the culture, history and local sayings of the people. I would recommend her classes to anybody interested in learning Vietnamese.

Cô Na’s wonderful classes have inspired a love of the Vietnamese language in me, and I hope to continue under her tuition until I am fluent in the language.
