SYDNEY LANGUAGE SOLUTIONS is a registered provider of the CREATIVE KIDS PROGRAM. When enrolling into Online Vietnamese for Kids at Sydney Language Solutions, you can redeem your $100 CREATIVE KIDS VOUCHER.

SLS offers a 10-week Vietnamese for Kids – BEGINNER 1 for children who wish to learn basic conversational second language in a fun, friendly and interactive environment.
Our 60-minute-live class is designed for children to study Vietnamese from their own convenient home. This online course encourages parent/family involvement in the lessons
All language online courses come with free soft version of training materials
We do not only teach language in formal class setting, but engage your children in interacting and using languages from cue cards, singing or games and activities in Vietnamese
We keep the class limit to 4-6 students to ensure the maximum interaction between children and teachers and maintain the teaching quality
Upon completion, your children will also receive a Certificate of Participation.

Who should take Vietnamese for Kids class?

Children from 5-18 years old who have no existing (or very little) knowledge of Vietnamese, who wants to begin a course of study and to know simple words and phrases to start communicating with a Vietnamese parent/relative/speaker

Vietnamese second generation who wish to study Vietnamese as their second language

If you are too busy to go to our face-to-face class, or travelling to class is an issue for you, this online class is a great solution.
This is also the perfect option for those kids who want to study Vietnamese, but have found there were not sufficient student numbers to run a course in your local area.
The advantage of this online class, is your kids can always watch it again in your own time during the week, before you meet your teacher again.
One of the great advantages of an online group tutorial is that it is not a pre-recorded lesson, you will meet and interact with a teacher and be able to ask those critical questions in real time as in a traditional classroom. By expanding the course to include 4 students we are also able to keep the costs down

Holiday Camp class content:

9:30 – 10:30am: Vietnamese Language Class – Learn in Group with Teacher
10:30 – 10:45am: Crunch and Sip
10:45-12:30pm: Drawing Pokemon / Cartoon with Language Description – Vietnamese
12:30 – 1pm: Lunch Time
1:00 – 2pm: Vietnamese Language Class – Pair Activities
2:00 – 2:15pm: Break 2
2:15 – 3:30 pm: Describe yourself in the Language
3:30pm : Class ending

Holiday Camp Class Fee: $150 + GST = $165 per day from 9:30pm to 3:30pm (0.5 hour lunch)

If you pick your child at 5pm, extra fee of $15 + GST for child-keeping will be applied
Even though class starts at 9:30pm, you can drop your kid at 8:30am as the earliest

Parents can join our online Vietnamese for Kids. If one parent joins the class, you only need to pay extra $80.

When enrolling in Language for Kids course at Sydney Language Solutions, you can redeem your $100 CREATIVE KIDS VOUCHER when you enroll on our program with the code “CKIDS”
Creative Kids Voucher will be redeemed immediately after enrollment and it would be non-refundable and non-transferable
Enrolling 2 weeks before starting day to receive 10% off, you only need to pay $297 if enrolling at least 2 weeks before the course starts. So if you use Creative Kids Voucher $50 and pay 2 weeks in advance, you only need to pay $247 for the whole term!

How To Get The Free $50 Creative Kids Voucher?

Visit service.nsw.gov.au/campaign/creative-kids.
Create or login to your MyServiceNSW Account.
Complete a Creative Kids application through your MyServiceNSW Account. You will receive a voucher with a unique ID number for each child you register (available to download, print and email).
Redeem your voucher with a unique ID number on SLS ONLINE ENROLMENT FORM by using coupon code ‘CKID’ at checkout. The $50 will automatically be deducted from the total fee and you only need to pay the remaining by eway, EFTPOS or Paypal online.
It is compulsory that you must add your voucher details and your child date of birth into your enrolment form. Without these details, we have to reject your enrolment.

Please Note:

When enrolling, the voucher will be redeemed immediately by Sydney Language Solutions and will be non-refundable and non-transferrable.
Please always register with both the parents’ name, contact details and the children’s name.
The enrolment fee must be paid at least one week in advance of the course commencement date.
All classes need a minimum of 5 students to go ahead.
If the course does not have enough 5 students, it will be cancelled and you will be informed via SMS or email 4 working days before the starting date. Alternatively, upon having your approval, we may re-schedule the course 2 weeks later to get more enrolments or we will offer the course for less students with 25% less hours than 15 hours.

Flashcards Package

Your kids can self-study Vietnamese vocabulary at home for just $20. We offer 5 sets of vocabulary (numbers, family, animal, color and vehicle) with worksheet and activity book for your kids to practice at home.

How kids should study this course?

Video: Study new vocabulary through 5 videos, which last around 1 minute 40 seconds. Each video contains 10 new words on that topic. Kids should repeat the teacher’s pronunciation of the new words.
Fun fact: Kids can understand Vietnamese culture and Vietnamese people’s life through short fun facts under each video set.
Practice time: Kids practice writing new words through our workbook. This workbook includes a worksheet and word-picture-matching activity.

Frequently Asked Questions:

What age are the children?

The children will be from 5 to 12. However, as their levels in the language class would be all beginner, the classes will be split according to level. If more than 6 students enrol, we will do our best to divide the students into 2 classes: one for junior children from 5-8 and one for older children from 9-12.

Do you offer make up class?

We do not offer any make-up class if you are absent, but our teachers will review last week’s content. If you attend class and are absent for more than 50% of the course, we can allow your child to join the next available course but we cannot issue a refund once the course is confirmed.

Can I join the course late?

Your child can still join the course up until Week 4 and just pay for the remaining weeks of the term. However, we require your child have at least a 45 -minute session with a private tutor [at an extra cost] before they join the course.

Can I use Creative Kid Voucher?

Yes, you can redeem your Creative Kids voucher with us. When enrolling on our website, please enter your Creative Kid Voucher ID number in the comment section. Use Code CKIDS to reduce the fee by $100.

Do I have any discount for siblings / friends / cousins to study together?

If your child studies with a sibling/ friend/ cousin, each of them will receive 5% discount on top of 10% EARLY BIRD Discount.

When can I receive EARLY BIRD DISCOUNT?

If you enrol 2 weeks before the course starts, you will receive an EARLY BIRD discount of 10% off.

What is the difference between the class during school terms and the class during school holiday?

During school term, the class will be on one fixed day a week, either every Saturday mornings from 10:00 – 11:00am or on a weekday afternoon from 3:45-5:00pm, classes will run for 10 weeks.
During School Holiday, the class will be held for 4 days each week, from Monday to Thursday between 10:30am-11:45pm. You can choose to study for only 1 week or for both of the school holiday.

What should I bring?

We offer a FREE water bottle on the first day of the course. You should fill it in with boiled water so they can bring it along to class. They should also bring a pencil case.

What will they learn?

Our teachers will engage them in many play-based activities, singing, story-telling, flashcards, and even videos to help them practise the target language to build confidence.

Qualifications:

I have a Bachelor of Commerce (Dean’s Scholar) from the University of Wollongong gained in 2018. I have PTE 88 and Credentialed Community Language (CCL) Certificate.

Teaching Experience:

As I am keen on teaching, I worked as a teaching assistant in summer courses for children at the University of Wollongong. After I gained my CCL Certificate, I also provided CCL tutorial for some students. I have been working as an accountant for a childcare organization for two years and currently have a Vietnamese class for children to help them learn their mother tongue in Australia. She considers to be friendly, loves communicating with people from different backgrounds and love children.

Teacher: Ngoc Tran Phan

Ngoc Tran Phan, or Tran, is a native Vietnamese speaker, originally from Ho Chi Minh City,
Vietnam. She is taking Bachelor of Pharmacy at University of Sydney. She is also a Vietnamese
teacher at SLS.
In high school, Tran studied the English language as her specialised subject at Tran Dai Nghia
High School. She also translated many Vietnamese-English articles on various topics in many
projects and clubs, and she has a good understanding of both languages and their structural
and phonetic features. She also speaks Mandarin at an intermediate level.
Tran is a great enthusiast for Vietnamese language, history, and culture. As a Vietnamese
teacher, she is willing to teach and share about Vietnamese, not only as a language but also as
a culture, in an interactive way with all her students.
