Teacher: Patti Nijhuis
Qualification:
She is currently holding a Master Degree in Sport Sciences and is undertaking a PhD in Cognitive Neuroscience. She also had a teaching qualification.
Teaching Experience:
Patti is a native Dutch speaker who speaks 5 languages. She has a total of 9 years teaching experience which spans many disciplines. Besides currently teaching Dutch, IELTS preparation and English conversation at SLS, she also teaches motor control at Western Sydney University, as well as several dance styles.
Teacher: Luciana Menghini
Qualifications:
Luciana has a degree in EN-SP Sworn Translation from the Pontifical Catholic University of Argentina (UCA) and was granted a Consecutive and Simultaneous Interpretation diploma by Estudio Lucille Barnes, in Argentina.
Work Experience:
Luciana has worked as an ESL teacher for over 7 years. As a freelancer, she has focused mainly on English Grammar and Pronunciation (for Latin American singers) and has prepared students to sit for IELTS, CAE and TOEFL. Moreover, she has worked in companies such as Allianz and Uber Eats as a Business English Teacher and, also, as a Translator (for Uber’s Onboarding team).
She has been part of the team of Certified Translators at Juno Traducciones, and a Proof-reader and Editor at Valoroso Ltd. and a Bilingual Secretary at Gong Entertainment, an Argentinean production company.
Teacher: Jolanda
Jolanda holds a Master's degree in International Relations and a Bachelor's degree in English language and Literature from the University of Groningen, the Netherlands.
Jolanda is a native speaker of Dutch and moved to Australia in 2007. In Australia, Jolanda completed a post-graduate in Counseling and a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. She has taught a range of subjects to students of all ages - from teaching Dutch to children, to corporate training for English professionals. She also teaches English business, Pronunciation and ESL. Apart from teaching, Jolanda has extensive experience in business having worked in the banking industry across sales, training and coaching finance and human resources roles.
Jolanda utilises her corporate background qualifications to help students improve their skills. She is a dedicated teacher with a great enthusiasm and willingness to help students succeed.
