Teacher: Bevan
Qualifications:
Bevan graduated from UNSW with a Bachelor of Arts Degree and he recently took and completed his Certificate IV in TESOL at UNSW Global to further heighten his teaching skills and experience. He has taken and passed the JLPT N2 exam, and is confident in teaching IELTS programs to students as well.
Teaching Experience:
Bevan believes in a student oriented classroom where students are able to participate in various practical works and focus more in conversing and engaging activities, as opposed to theory and grammatical translation work. He started teaching from simple tutoring while he was in Japan and have continued to do so even in Australia.
Teacher: Marina Guilmant
Qualifications:
She is currently studying a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. In 2017 she completed a master’s in education, focusing on on-line learning for adults. She holds a Master’s in Psychotherapy, a Bachelor as a Preschool teacher, as well as in Art History.
Marina is a passionate educator, as well as constant student looking to improve her teaching practices and pedagogies.
Work Experience:
She has worked for several international private academic institutions in Australia and Mexico. Her vast teaching experience encompasses young age students, all the way to university learners. She has designed and structured many courses and learning programs, she is knowledgeable in implementing curriculums and due to her experience, she is able to apply methodologies that adapt to all styles of learning. Some of the subjects she has taught are reading and language skills in English, art history, theory of design, art, conversational and business English.
Being fluent in Spanish and English, she has taught English as a Second Language, Spanish for beginners, as well as many school subjects in both. Teaching languages in fun and engaging ways is one of her many strengths, as well as focusing on the correct pronunciation when speaking. Marina enjoys empowering her students through learning and supporting them to achieve professional goals.
