Our office has bilingual native speakers of the abovelanguages who will direct the talent as our liason during the recording session.

A voiceover is the process of recording a person’s voice for use in audio recordings, perhaps for CDs or website downloads, or as a dubbing track on a video, etc. This is usually done when the sound is in one language but the intended audience for the recording speaks another.

A voiceover is an unseen speaker you hear in TV, cinema, radio, or any other type of broadcast or presentation.  Sydney Language Solutionsprovides foreign language voiceovers by professional voice talents recorded in a specialised studio.

In general, broadcast is defined as public usage (i.e. TV and Radio). Non-broadcast is usage for all other media, e.g. e-learning, DVD/CD-ROM, product and company presentations, podcasts, Flash presentations, IVR voice prompts. One exception is the Internet which can be considered both a broadcast and a non-broadcast media.

Yes, Sydney Language Solutions provides translation services for many foreign languages on top of the voiceover services.

If a script is not available in the source or target language, please provide the source audio or video file and we will include transcription and translation services on your quote.

Yes, all our voice talents are native speakers; this is to ensure we can provide the optimal localisation.

We can organise for you to talk with our voice talents only after the quote has been finalised and the payment has been organised. This is to ensure that our voice talents understand your specific needs in the production of the voice over.

We cannot organise any meetings with the voice talents prior to acceptance of the quotation and payment being finalised. However, we can provide your company with the voice sample so you can decide whether the voice is suitable for your project.

Our voiceover rates differ depending on the languages required, application, length of use, whether or not you require transcription and/or translation services as well, and the word count of the script or length of the audio/video. We may also have to book a studio, in which case studio fees will also apply.

You can request for a custom quote by giving us a description of your job, when you need it delivered, and any special information you think we should know. We will then contact you with a quote within 24-48 hours.

Sydney Language Solutions do not charge for basic editing fees. The fee you pay includes the voice over fee for the voiceover-talent, studio time, editing, etc.

We only charge additional fees if you would like to add more features such as music and effects in the production.

Yes. Please email us at info@sydneylanguagesolutions.com.auwith your contact information and requirements so that we can provide you with a quote for our services. Please include your full name, company name, phone number, mailing address, the languages involved, and attach the final script in the target language (if available).

If the script in the target language is not available, please provide the script in the source language and we will include translation services on your quote.

Every quote is valid for 30 days from the date of issue when involving our partners or other outside sources. If your project is completely an in-house project, we will honour our quote for 60 days.

Word length and sentence construction vary greatly from language to language. You should expect the translated version of an English document to be approximately 15-25% longer in Mandarin, for example.

While this will not affect your translation costs because we base our fees on the source language, this means that we will not have a final word count or time estimate for your foreign-language recording until the translation is complete.

No, we do not provide free samples as we have to pay the announcer for their time. If you would like to check the quality of our voice talents, we recommend you to listen to the sample videos provided on our website in their own respective languages.

We accept payment by PayPal, internet transfer/direct deposit, cash/EFTPOS, and credit card over the phone.

Our turnaround time depends on the size of the script, the language of the source script, the availability of the voiceover talent and the need to transcribe and/or translate the source to another language.

You can contact us and explain your situation so we can provide you with an estimate of our turnaround time. The minimum turnaround time is 4 working days for any task as we need to arrange the onsite recording with the voiceover talent.

We deliver the finished audio files via email or FTP upload.

We provide the output in the format of: WAV, AIFF and MP3

We support all common digital audio formats including WAV, MP3, MP4, AIFF and others. We will always try and deliver exactly the format that you need.

Yes. If you need the audio to be delivered as separate files we can edit them accordingly.  

If you have any other requirements (e.g. time-coded/synchronised to a film/video, etc.), please inform us in advance so we can incorporate the additional fees that may be involved into the initial quote.
