SLS offers training for the CCL exam with an intensive Preparation Course. Classes are available at our convenient Sydney CBD location. What is CCL?
The Credentialed Community Language (CCL) Exam is conducted by NAATI that grants candidates with five points, after passing the exam. This is part of the points-based visa applications made by the Department of Home Affairs.
What is the difference between this CCL test and previous NAATI test?
- CCL test doesn’t allow you to work as interpreter. NAATI Test does allow you to work.
- You do not have to do the 1) ethical test 2) Intercultural test in CCL test
- You only need to do the interpreting test in CCL test (2 dialogues)

These courses will help you to prepare for the CCL Test. If you want to get 5 points, you can join this course.

- Completing this course does not grant you with NAATI accreditation.
- SLS only helps you, through this CCL preparation course, to prepare for your CCL exam (for 5 migration points).
- After you finish the course, you will need to contact NAATI independently (Tel: 1300 557 470) to book your CCL Test.
What will be covered for this CCL course?
This course will provide you with all practice to do the interpreting session in the CCL test and help you with tips and strategies to pass the test This won’t provide you training in ethical and intercultural session.
CCL INTERPRETING (ENGLISH –> PERSIAN) COURSE
Students will be provided with important theories, techniques and strategies to pass the CCL Test.

What we will cover
- In this CCL Course we will train you very specifically with transcripts and examples from your native language, so you can easily understand the explanation of all types of possible errors in interpreting.
- You are expected to have a very high level of competency in English as well as your language. We can only help you with the comprehension errors of the source speech and the possible interpreting techniques to convey that sense of meaning.
Course Content:
- Common types of interpreting errors in interpreting from English to Persian
- Major techniques to convey one speech from Persian to English and vice versa
Course Objective:
- Students will understand some major techniques to convey one source speech from one language to the target speech in another language
- Students are provided with knowledge about common types of interpreting errors to avoid making them in CCL Test
- Students will learn tips and strategies to handle the test
- Students will have access to many transcripts to practice

- Identify cross-cultural and socio-cultural issues in E-H interpreting

* Usually for all CCL Courses, the demand is not always high, and we do not always have 5 students to confirm courses on a planned day as shown in our website. Therefore, sometimes your enrolment may be put in the waiting list and once we have enough 4-5 student, we will contact you to confirm the course. PLEASE KINDLY ALWAYS PUT IN THE COMMENT OF YOUR ENROLMENT FORM your registered test day so we can decide what is the latest day we can open the course for you.
Please Note:
- The enrolment fee must be paid at least one week in advance of the course commencement date.
- All classes need a minimum of 5 students to go ahead.
- If your course does not have enough students, it will be cancelled, and you will be informed via SMS or email two days before the starting date. Alternatively, we may re-schedule the course to get more enrolment or still offer the course for 3- 4 students with a slightly less number of hours with original agreement.
- If the course is canceled due to low Enrolment, you will automatically receive 10% off next time when you enrol again into the same course.
