Course description
Ikebana, a Japanese flower arranging tradition, has its unknown origin but it was said to start and develop along with other famous Japanese practice such as tea ceremonies and garden design. It is rooted in Japanese minimal, simple and balance culture. Ikebana is a symbolic language of aesthetic world in which the meaning of flowers, the style of arrangement, the size, shape, colour of the vase and even the height of the flower branch has its own purpose. Unlike Western perception of flower bouquet, which honours the colourful appearance and quantity, Ikebana makes flower bouquet at its most simple nature but still preserve its elegant beauty to decorate the tea room.
