 How does it work?

For online Practice, how will they do it? in class or at home?

For online practice, the students need to go to SLS office on the assigned date to practice the test.

Please note that your assigned dates for online is FRIDAY. WE also cannot just let you do the test at any time you prefer, due to the limited number of staff working hours.

If you want to change the date for this online test, please email us in writing PTE@sydneylanguagesolutions.com.au. We are sorry that we can’t offer you any password to do your test at home.

Students cannot do it from home.

Will they be able to use computers at SLS office to practice? 

Yes the online practice is actually on computers at our school. Students should not bring alone any laptop or anything else as we strictly only allow the online practice to be on our computers with our staff supervision. The online practice is about 2-3 hours each time.

Do we give them online resources for them to study at home using their computers?

 In class, teachers will give students hard copy of some exercises and you can use it to practice the test and get used to the speed of the test. However, we don’t give you any access to any online resources.

Where do they normally can go to book PTE test?

Navitas does it.

How long will the test be?

The test has 4 parts:

Part 1 – Speaking and Writing (approximately 77 – 93 minutes)

Part 2 – Reading (approximately 32-41 minutes)

Part 3 – Listening (approximately 45-57 minutes)

Total:  About 154 – 191 minutes

Which  one should I try, IELTS or PTE test?

a.If you have better speaking skill, then we recommend you to try PTE test

b.PTE Writing test focus on summarizing than essay writing. So if you don’t have strong IETTS Writing skill or keep on having a less desirable Writing skill in IELTS, maybe you should try your luck if you are more confident
