Teacher: Patti Nijhuis

Qualification:
She is currently holding a Master Degree in Sport Sciences and is undertaking a PhD in Cognitive Neuroscience. She also had a teaching qualification.

Teaching Experience:
Patti is a native Dutch speaker who speaks 5 languages. She has a total of 9 years teaching experience which spans many disciplines. Besides currently teaching Dutch, IELTS preparation and English conversation at SLS, she also teaches motor control at Western Sydney University, as well as several dance styles.

Teacher: Marina Guilmant

She is currently studying a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. In 2017 she completed a master’s in education, focusing on on-line learning for adults. She holds a Master’s in Psychotherapy, a Bachelor as a Preschool teacher, as well as in Art History.

Marina is a passionate educator, as well as constant student looking to improve her teaching practices and pedagogues.

Work Experience:

She has worked for several international private academic institutions in Australia and Mexico. Her vast teaching experience encompasses young age students, all the way to university learners. She has designed and structured many courses and learning programs, she is knowledgeable in implementing curriculum and due to her experience, she is able to apply methodologies that adapt to all styles of learning. Some of the subjects she has taught are reading and language skills in English, art history, theory of design, art, conversational and business English.

Being fluent in Spanish and English, she has taught English as a Second Language, Spanish for beginners, as well as many school subjects in both. Teaching languages in fun and engaging ways is one of her many strengths, as well as focusing on the correct pronunciation when speaking. Marina enjoys empowering her students through learning and supporting them to achieve professional goals.

Teacher: Nicholas John Gysi

Qualifications:

Nic is a Bachelor of Arts from University of Western Sydney majoring in History, Politics and Philosophy. He is a qualified English teacher, holding a Cambridge Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults (CELTA) and also Certificate IV in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL)

Teaching Experience:

Nic has worked as ESL teacher in Australian Pacific College School of English, being responsible to teach English Grammar, vocabulary, speaking, writing and listening skills to young adult students. He also worked as ESL Teacher in Bridge Business College ELICOS Department and Sydney International English College (S.I.E.C).
