Course description
SLS offers a 20-hour Russian Intermediate 2 Course for students who have completed Beginners 1 and 2, Pre-Intermediate 1, 2 , 3 and 4. Available at our convenient Sydney CBD location during weeknights or weekends, our course is ideal for those who work during the week. All language courses come with free training materials and you’ll enjoy our small class sizes for a great interactive learning experience. Upon completion, you’ll also receive a Certificate of Participation.
Who should take this class?
Learners who have completed “Russian Pre-Intermediate 4” and have basic understanding how the language functions.
Learners whose goal is to further improve their grammar knowledge, expand vocabulary, fluency and acquire better communicative skills.
Program
During this course the intention is that most of the following topics will be covered, however not necessarily in the order given below.
Due to the variable nature of Adult Education classes, parts of the curriculum may be adapted to suit the needs of the whole class.
What’s special about this course?
- Learners undertaking this course will be provided with authentic teaching materials (handouts)
- Also students will be provided with authentic audio-visual materials based on Russian films, cartoons and literature such as: authentic you-tube video clips, newspaper articles, cartoons, etc.
- After completing this course students will be able to fairly confidently communicate and travelin a country where Russian is the main language of communication such as Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, etc.
- In addition, students upon completion of the course will be able tosuccessfully combine their travel and study in one of the most prominent language schools in Moscow or Saint Petersburg.
Due to Covid-19 Pandemic, our normal upcoming language courses from 20.3 to 10.4 will be operated online. That means, all face-to-face classes you enrol during this period will be operated online with the same materials, syllabus and teachers. As soon as the social distancing policy is removed by government, all these classes will resume its face-to-face mode for you to continue learning. Expected Outcome
By the end of this course students will be able to expand their vocabulary and express their opinions on the following topics such as: current policies, culture, mass media, social issue, etc.

Please Note:
- The enrolment fee must be paid at least one week in advance of the course commencement date.
- All classes need a minimum of 5 students to go ahead.
- If your course does not have enough students, it will be cancelled and you will be informed via SMS or email two days before the starting date. Alternatively, we may re-schedule the course to get more enrolment or still offer the course for 4 students with a slightly higher tuition fee with your agreement.
