Course description

SYDNEY LANGUAGE SOLUTIONS is a registered provider of the CREATIVE KIDS PROGRAM. When enrolling into Japanese for Junior Kids course at Sydney Language Solutions, you can redeem your $100 CREATIVE KIDS VOUCHER.

What’s special about Tagalog for Kids ?

SLS offers a 8-week/ 10-week Tagalog for Kids – BEGINNER 1 for children who wish to learn basic conversational Tagalog in a fun, friendly and interactive environment. We offer Tagalog for Junior Kids [3-9 years old] and Tagalog for Senior Kids [10-14 years old].
Available at our convenient Sydney CBD location during after school hours from 4:00 pm – 5:15 pm or on Saturday 10:00 am -11:30 am, our course is ideal for kids to enjoy learning a second language in Japanese.
All language courses come with free training materials
We do not only teach language in formal class setting, but engage your kids in interacting and using languages from cue cards, singing or games and activities in Tagalog.
Your children will enjoy our small class sizes for a great interactive learning experience in a fun environment.
Upon completion, your children will also receive a Certificate of Participation.

Who should take Tagalog for Kids?

Children from 3-9 years old who have no existing (or very little) knowledge of Tagalog, who wants to begin a course of study and to know simple words and phrases to start communicating with a Tagalog parent/relative/speaker.

If your kids are from 10-14 years old, they should join our Tagalog for Senior Kids

If they are over 14 years old, they could join our Tagalog for Senior Kids or Tagalog Beginner 1 for Adults

If you are too busy to go to our face-to-face class, or travelling to class is an issue for you, this online class is a great solution.
This is also the perfect option for those kids who want to study Tagalog, but have found there were not sufficient student numbers to run a course in your local area.
The parents could join the class with just extra $80 for each parents!
The advantage of this online class, is your kids can always watch it again in your own time during the week, before you meet your teacher again.
One of the great advantages of an online group tutorial is that it is not a pre-recorded lesson, you will meet and interact with a teacher and be able to ask those critical questions in real time as in a traditional classroom. By expanding the course to include 4 students we are also able to keep the costs down

9:30 – 10:30am: Tagalog Language Class – Learn in Group with Teacher
10:30 – 10:45am: Crunch and Sip
10:45-12:30pm: Drawing Pokemon / Cartoon with Language Description – Tagalog
12:30 – 1pm: Lunch Time
1:00 – 2pm: Tagalog Language Class – Pair Activities
2:00 – 2:15pm: Break 2
2:15 – 3:30 pm: Describe yourself in the Language
3:30pm : Class ending

Holiday Camp Class Fee: $150 + GST = $165 per day from 9:30pm to 3:30pm (0.5 hour lunch)

If you pick your child at 5pm, extra fee of $15 + GST for child-keeping will be applied
Even though class starts at 9:30pm, you can drop your kid at 8:30am as the earliest

How To Get The Free $100 Creative Kids Voucher?

Visit service.nsw.gov.au/campaign/creative-kids.
Create or login to your MyServiceNSW Account.
Complete a Creative Kids application through your MyServiceNSW Account. You will receive a voucher with a unique ID number for each child you register (available to download, print and email).
Redeem your voucher with a unique ID number on SLS ONLINE ENROLMENT FORM by using coupon code ‘CKIDS’ at checkout. The $100 will automatically be deducted from the total fee and you only need to pay the remaining by eway, EFTPOS or Paypal online.
It is compulsory that you must add your voucher details and your child date of birth into your enrolment form. Without these details, we have to reject your enrolment.

Please Note:

When enrolling, the voucher will be redeemed immediately by Sydney Language Solutions and will be non-refundable and non-transferrable.

Please always register with both the parents’ name, contact details and the children’s name.
The enrolment fee must be paid at least one week in advance of the course commencement date.
All classes need a minimum of 5 students to go ahead.
If the course does not have enough 5 students, it will be cancelled and you will be informed via SMS or email 4 working days before the starting date. Alternatively, upon having your approval, we may re-schedule the course 2 weeks later to get more enrolments or we will offer the course for less students with 25% less hours than 15 hours.

Frequently Asked Questions:

What age are the children?

The children will be from 5 to 12. However, as their levels in the language class would be all beginner, the classes will be split according to level. If more than 6 students enrol, we will do our best to divide the students into 2 classes: one for junior children from 5-8 and one for older children from 9-12.

Do you offer make up class?

We do not offer any make-up class if you are absent, but our teachers will review last week’s content. If you attend class and are absent for more than 50% of the course, we can allow your child to join the next available course but we cannot issue a refund once the course is confirmed.

Can I join the course late?

Your child can still join the course up until Week 4 and just pay for the remaining weeks of the term. However, we require your child have at least a 45 -minute session with a private tutor [at an extra cost] before they join the course.

Can I use Creative Kid Voucher?

Yes, you can redeem your Creative Kids voucher with us. When enrolling on our website, please enter your Creative Kid Voucher ID number in the comment section. Use Code CKIDS to reduce the fee by $100.

Do I have any discount for siblings / friends / cousins to study together?

If your child studies with a sibling/ friend/ cousin, each of them will receive 5% discount on top of 10% EARLY BIRD Discount.

When can I receive EARLY BIRD DISCOUNT?

If you enrol 2 weeks before the course starts, you will receive an EARLY BIRD discount of 10% off.

What is the difference between the class during school terms and the class during school holiday?

During school term, the class will be on one fixed day a week, either every Saturday mornings from 10:30-11:45am or on a weekday afternoon from 3:45-5:00pm, classes will run for 10 weeks.
During School Holiday, the class will be held for 4 days each week, from Monday to Thursday between 10:30am-11:45pm. You can choose to study for only 1 week or for both of the school holiday.

What should I bring?

We offer a FREE water bottle on the first day of the course. You should fill it in with boiled water so they can bring it along to class. They should also bring a pencil case.

What will they learn?

Our teachers will engage them in many play-based activities, singing, story-telling, flashcards, and even videos to help them practise the target language to build confidence.

Do we have Certificate of Participation for your child?

Yes, we offer a Certificate of Participation for your child.

If the course is cancelled because of low enrolment, you will be refunded
If the course has been confirmed by email to start, we can’t refund.
If the course has not been confirmed and you request to cancel enrolment at least 7 working days before the course starting day, you are entitled to a refund with a deduction of $60 admin fee, as per our Terms and Conditions.
