Course description

SLS offers a 20-hour Mandarin Pre-Intermediate 2 Course for students who have completed Beginners 1 and 2 and Pre-Intermediate 1. Available at our convenient Sydney CBD location during weeknights or weekends, our course is ideal for those who work full time. All language courses come with free training materials and you’ll enjoy our small class sizes for a great interactive learning experience. Upon completion, you’ll also receive a Certificate of Participation.

Who is this course for?

For learners who have finished about 160 hours of training in Mandarin Beginner 1, 2 and Mandarin Preintermediate 1.

Lesson 2: Looking for a job – Making an appointment or a date with someone

Lesson 3: Talking about plans – Making suggestions

Lesson 4: Talking about an action in progress – Talking about living conditions

Please Note:

The enrolment fee must be paid at least one week in advance of the course commencement date.
All classes need a minimum of 5 students to go ahead.
If your course does not have enough students, it will be cancelled and you will be informed via SMS or email two days before the starting date. Alternatively, we may re-schedule the course to get more enrolment or still offer the course for 4 students with a slightly higher tuition fee with your agreement.

Due to Covid-19 Pandemic, our normal upcoming language courses from 20.3 to 10.4 will be operated online. That means, all face-to-face classes you enrol during this period will be operated online with the same materials, syllabus and teachers. As soon as the social distancing policy is removed by government, all these classes will resume its face-to-face mode for you to continue learning. Bachelor of Education and Bachelor of Arts with a Major in Chinese Studies from the University of Sydney.
Master of Education degree from the University of Melbourne.
As a native speaker of both Mandarin and Cantonese, I am equipped to teach these languages to learners of all ages and proficiency levels.

Work Experience:
With two years of teaching experience and one year of teaching in NSW secondary schools, I am fully qualified and accredited by the NSW Department of Education. I am adept at designing and delivering engaging lessons that address the diverse learning needs of students. I have a thorough knowledge of the NSW syllabus, including its structure, objectives, and outcomes, which I adapt to meet both adolescent and adult learners' needs. My lessons are well-organised and personalised, and complex knowledge is broken down to make it accessible for all students. I create a supportive, engaging classroom atmosphere that fosters students' interests.
