How does it work?
If you have to miss one class, we suggest you inform our office at least three days in advance about your absence. We will try to record the lesson and leave the training material for you to collect at the following class.
Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE Academic) is now accepted by the Department of Immigration & Border Protection (DIBP) for visa purposes. For the past five years, visa applicants have been able to choose PTE Academic to prove their English proficiency for student visas.
However, on 23rd November DIBP announced that PTE Academic can also be used across the skilled migration, temporary graduate, work and holiday and former resident visa programs.
PTE Academic is accepted by every Australian university as well as professional associations such as CPA Australia and the Australian Computer Society.
For online Practice, how will they do it? in class or at home?
For online practice, the students need to go to SLS office on the assigned date to practice the test.
Please note that your assigned dates for online is FRIDAY. WE also cannot just let you do the test at any time you prefer, due to the limited number of staff working hours.
If you want to change the date for this online test, please email us in writing PTE@sydneylanguagesolutions.com.au. We are sorry that we can’t offer you any password to do your test at home.
Students cannot do it from home.
Will they be able to use computers at SLS office to practice?
Yes the online practice is actually on computers at our school. Students should not bring alone any laptop or anything else as we strictly only allow the online practice to be on our computers with our staff supervision. The online practice is about 2-3 hours each time.
Do we give them online resources for them to study at home using their computers?
In class, teachers will give students hard copy of some exercises and you can use it to practice the test and get used to the speed of the test. However, we don’t give you any access to any online resources.
Where do they normally can go to book PTE test?
Navitas does it.
They can also find more info about Test Centres here
